Quantity surveying services

Tender description

Contract for project management and quantity surveying services (including cost control and management) in relation to works to be undertaken at Trinity College Dublin, College Green, D02 YY72 Dublin 2. On 3.10.2016 the contracting authority awarded a contract to WH Stephens (the “2016 Contract”) to perform project management and quantity surveying services in connection with: (a) a fit out of the podium in the Berkeley Library; (b) a refurbishment of space in the Old Library for a new visitor experience; and (c) various entranced and connections. The original scope has been amended to include the following items: (a) fire and environmental protection of the old library building and its collections; (b) refurbishment work to the east and west end pavilions; and (c) repurposing of the bookstacks to the west of the Library shop as a research study space. The expanded floor area affected is 4 570 m2 compared to the initially anticipated area of 1 900 m2. It is proposed to extend the volume of services under the 2016 Contract to include the additional services and to require WH Stephens to perform those services by way of variation to the 2016 Contract.
