Provision of ten 500kg quayside unloading winches and davits

Tender description

The vast majority of the Irish inshore fleet operate from piers and harbours other than the main Fishery Harbour Centres and large County Council operated piers which serve as home ports for the great majority of the inshore fleet. These piers and harbours are necessarily widely dispersed to access widely dispersed stocks using vessels with a limited unloading gear. To address this issue BIM is seeking tenders for 10 unloading winches and davits for the unloading of fish boxes and net bins quickly and safely. The davits must be capable of handling a working lift of 500kg and have a minimum wire speed of 10M/Min and should be compatible with both three and single phase supply.
