Tender description

The room-temperature scattering-type Scanning near-Field Optical Microscope (s-SNOM) should be fully compatible for use with ultrafast laser sources and free-space optics, providing sufficient capability to perform apertureless near-field microscopy in the visible, infrared, terahertz and midinfrared frequency range with < 30 nm spatial resolution. It is essential that the s-SNOM has the capability to perform optical-pump terahertz-probe spectroscopy and has dual-port operation to conduct pump-probe experiments to assess the ultrafast carrier dynamics of nanomaterials. Critically, the room-temperature s-SNOM must also include an upgrade/buy-back option for a cryogenic s-SNOM, to allow future optical-pump terahertz-probe spectroscopic measurements to be performed within the temperature range of 10-300 000 (this will be dependent upon receiving further funding).
