Tender description

To obtain a provider of laboratory services that can meet the needs of the Trust in relation to the microbiological analysis of water and ice samples taken by the Trust. The objective for this procurement exercise is to obtain a provider of laboratory services that can meet the needs of the Trust in relation to the microbiological analysis of water and ice samples taken by the Trust. Key stakeholders within the Trust are: Estates and facilities. Sampling for Legionella and Pseudomonas are carried out by trained personnel within estates and facilities. Currently all sample results go back via estates and facilities for onward communication with the areas and the infection prevention team. Endoscopy users. The endoscopy user (manager) is responsible for ensuring that samples are collected in a timely manner and ensuring that all results are accounted for and acted upon where necessary. Infection Prevention team. Responsible for providing infection prevention advice to wards and departments based on the results of sampling.
