Tender description
This contract is to create a Framework Agreement for the provision of various telephone and data works, comprising of small building installations, refurbishments, repairs, maintenance and improvements on university premises. The works will involve all aspects of telephone and data installations/modifications (excluding BMS) typical of University buildings, such as but not limited to laboratories, small and complex lecture theaters, libraries, cafe and commercial kitchens, offices (individual and open plan), public areas, meeting rooms, conference rooms, accommodation, plant areas, etc. The works will vary in size. For larger, more bespoke works all suitable contractors on the framework will be invited to submit quotes. The framework will be split into 4 lots, with a maximum of three contractors allocated to each lot. The university is looking to award a 2 year contract with the option to extend for up to an additional 2 years. Due to the need to maintain existing networks on campus, contractors appointed to this framework must have accreditation from at least one of the manufacturers which relate to the lots. Lot 1 is TYCO AMP to ensure sufficient resource is available, the University is looking to have a maximum of 3 contractors per manufacturer/lot. Contractors may be awarded more than one lot. It is envisaged that a maximum of 6 candidates per lot will be invited to the tender stage. Due to the need to maintain existing networks on campus, contractors appointed to this framework must have accreditation from at least one of the manufacturers which relate to the lots. Lot 2 is Connectix to ensure sufficient resource is available, the University is looking to have a maximum of 3 contractors per manufacturer/lot. Contractors may be awarded more than one lot. It is envisaged that a maximum of 6 candidates per lot will be invited to the tender stage. Due to the need to maintain existing networks on campus, contractors appointed to this framework must have accreditation from at least one of the manufacturers which relate to the lots. Lot 3 is excel to ensure sufficient resource is available, the University is looking to have a maximum of 3 contractors per manufacturer/lot. Contractors may be awarded more than one lot. It is envisaged that a maximum of 6 candidates per lot will be invited to the tender stage. Due to the need to maintain existing networks on campus, contractors appointed to this framework must have accreditation from at least one of the manufacturers which relate to the lots. Lot 4 is Brand-Rex. To ensure sufficient resource is available, the University is looking to have a maximum of 3 contractors per manufacturer/lot. Contractors may be awarded more than one lot. It is envisaged that a maximum of 6 candidates per lot will be invited to the tender stage.
