The council is looking to engage with weight management providers to discuss the upcoming opportunity for this services. The services will be focussed on supporting Tower Hamlets residents into losing weight, eat healthily and maintain their weight loss goals in order to leave healthier lives. Tower Hamlets council will be holding a supplier engagement event on Wednesday 6.3.2019 from 10:15 am to 12:00 pm at Lab 3 Idea Store Whitechapel, 321 Whitechapel Road, E1 1BU London. To register your attendance on the event contact Afia Khatun: afia.khatun@towerhamlets.gov.uk with the subject title “Tier 2 – supplier engagement event”. Deadline for expressions of interest in attending the event is: Monday 4.3.2019. For avoidance of doubt this is not a call for competition at this stage, the purpose is to advise the market on the forthcoming procurement of London Borough of Tower Hamlets weight management provision and seek ideas from the market to form the specification. The council will be commencing a formal procurement process in late March 2019 for a supplier(s) of tier 2 weight management service. This service will focus on people with BMI ≥ 30 with comorbidities. Our current tier 2 service including our disability weight management service commissioned by LBTH to support obese adults in Tower Hamlets comes to an end on 28.2.2019. This PIN notice is indicative only of the Authority’s intentions and requirements for the procurement and is not a call for competition. The Authority reserves the right to amend its requirements, which will be more definitive in the Contract Notice.
