Tender description

The IAG-R programme will work to enable adolescent girls to have the capabilities for a safe, healthy, educated and empowered transition to adulthood through receiving a life-skills programme. The Department for International Development (DFID) has approved a second phase of work supporting adolescents in Rwanda. The IAG-R programme will provide up to 200 000 adolescents with the knowledge and capabilities needed to achieve their full potential, make better choices, take advantage of opportunities and better manage risk. DFID is seeking a supplier to manage and deliver the following key functions of the IAG-R programme: (i) a consortium of implementing partners that would work together to implement the programme on the ground, sharing their expertise and experiences and working closely with local authorities to ensure effective implementation; (ii) a Technical Assistance (TA) facility that will provide expertise and guidance to the implementing partners, as well as providing technical assistance to Government of Rwanda’s Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion (MIGEPROF); (iii) a programme monitoring, evaluation and learning approach, complementing the work of a centrally-managed programme (Gender and Adolescence — Global Evidence — see below) about what works for adolescents and ensuring that learning runs throughout into the programme and contributing to building the evidence base. The total contract value is 17 550 000 GBP this is broken down as 11 800 000 GBP for the main contract over 48 months and up to 5 750 000 GBP for the extension period of up to 36 months.
