Tender description

Maintenance and installation of road lighting and illuminated traffic signs in the City of Bristol. The council owns and manages some 34 000 street lights (over 20 000 having been replaced in recent years) and 15 000 other traffic equipment (e.g illuminated signs, bollards and pedestrian crossings), using a reactive maintenance policy. Pre-planned programmed works are also used on an individual scheme basis. Emergency cover is also needed from 17:00 to 08:00 (Monday-Friday) and 24 hours during the weekends. Open tender. Tender is split into 2 parts: Stage 1: Technical assessment; and Stage 2: Price and quality. Only bidders who pass all stage 1 requirements will be considered for stage 2. Stage 2 criteria = 70 % Price, 30 % Quality.
