The County Council of the City of Cardiff "the Authority" is currently in the process of scoping the requirement of a number of works and services to deliver Cardiff’s Heat Network and is determining how best to deliver the future provision. At this stage, the Authority has not formed a definitive view on how to deliver the future provision as this will be partly dependent upon the results of the consultations but is considering, that in order to maximise the opportunity for the market, to issue 3 separate options as follows: — option 1 — design and build, — option 2 — operate and maintenance, — option 3 — design and build and operate and maintenance. This will enable potential tenderers who only operate in the D&B and O&M sectors to provide a response and demonstrate the value they may be able to bring. The Council intends to hold a supplier open day to invite interested parties who may wish to tender for the works and/or services to attend a project information and consultation session in Cardiff on the 19.3.2019 to find out more about this opportunity and ask questions. Details of the open day are yet to be finalised, so further communication will be issued to those who have registered an interest on Proactis with details of the day.
