NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England – (North Midlands) (referred to as the Commissioner) would like to inform you of an opportunity to provide services for personal dental services within Oswestry, Shropshire. It is anticipated that the service will commence 1.9.2019. NHS England – (North Midlands) would like to invite potential bidders to a market engagement webinar taking place on Monday 11.3.2019 between 3:00 pm — 5.00 p.m. Please register your interest in attending this webinar by 3:00 p.m. on Friday 8.3.2019. Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are limited to no more than 2 persons per organisation. This procurement opportunity is to provide NHS Personal Dental Services to replace a current dental practice in the Oswestry area of Shropshire. Personal Dental Services (PDS) is a time limited contract and includes any treatment that is required to keep mouth, teeth and gums health free from pain. This includes but is not limited to the treatments listed below: — dentures, — root canal treatment, — crowns and bridges, — any preventive treatment, such as a scale and polish, an appointment with the dental hygienist, fluoride varnish or fissure sealants, — white fillings. PDS has been defined in detail under standard clauses for personal dental services agreement published by the Department of Health in July 2018 https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/standard-clauses-for-a-personal-dental-services-agreement-2018.pdf Based on the past experience it is anticipated that service provision resultant of this advertisement will have an annual contract value of around 622 560 GBP for annual delivery of 24 000 UDA’s (Units of Dental Activity). Any subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when published.
