There is also a notice open for Catering Services at Inner London, so suppliers can express an interest for either Inner London or Southwark or for both. Catering services accessible by staff, the Judiciary, Advocates, other Court Users, the general public and enable ushers/witness service to assist witnesses & jurors to purchase. The Catering Service provided must provide a light snack (e.g. a sandwich, drink and snack) that will be no more than the jurors’ subsistence allowance (currently 5.71 GBP). Interested companies can be flexible in their proposals to provide catering services at this court. Catering should be provided for the public, jurors and judiciary in accordance with Government Buying Standards for Food and Catering Services, as well as following guidance and best practice issued by the Foods Standards Agency or equivalent body. It is recommended interested suppliers visit this site to fully appreciate the catering opportunities, creative bids would be welcomed. The catering services are operated on a nil subsidy and nil cost basis on the premise that the Contractor will keep all revenues and subsequent profits generated from the Concession Agreement. The Authority however make no guarantees that the operation of the catering services will be profitable. The Authority will provide the successful Contractor access to the facilities on the court site and will not charge any rent or for the utilities used. The Authority will also allow the Contractor to use any existing equipment which might be on site, however this equipment will need to be maintained by the Contractor and returned upon expiry/termination in a similar condition as at contract start.
