Tender description

The scope of this framework is to cover blood sample tubes, blood sampling sets, multisampling needles, syringe arterial blood sampling systems, blood gas syringes,blood collection accessories, urine collection and analysis products, blood lancets and lancing systems. It is anticipated that initial expenditure for this Framework will be circa 34 000 000 GBP to 41 500 000 GBP in the first year of the this Framework Agreement, this is the anticipated value. If the Framework Agreement is extended to the maximum duration, will be circa 136 000 000 GBP to 166 000 000 GBP. However this only an approximate figure and the values may vary depending on the requirement of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. The scope of this lot is to cover blood sample tubes, blood sampling sets, multisampling needles, syringe arterial blood sampling systems, blood gas syringes,blood collection accessories, and urine collection and analysis products. It is anticipated that initial expenditure for this Lot will be circa 30 000 000 GBP to 35 000 000 GBP in the first year of this Framework Agreement, and that the anticipated value of the Framework Agreement is extended to the maximum duration, will be circa 120 000 000 GBP to 140 000 000 GBP. However this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirement of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement. The scope of this Lot is to cover blood lancets. Lancing systems are used for performing skin puncture on adults, children and neonates. Using a typical single use lancet the operator has to aim accurately and impact sufficient force and speed to penetrate the correct depth for effective skin puncture. A lancing system consists of a lancing device and lancet blade which automates this procedure. It is anticipated that initial expenditure for this lot will be circa 4 000 000 GBP to 6 500 000 GBP in the first year of this Framework Agreement, and that the anticipated value, if the Framework Agreement is extended to the maximum duration, will be circa 16 000 000 GBP to 26 000 000 GBP. However this is approximate only and the values may vary depending on the requirement of those bodies purchasing under the Framework Agreement.
