Ulster University - Accommodation Refurbishment Coleraine Block R6 and R7

Tender description

The Contract is primarily centered upon Block R6 and is for the provision of services to refurbish 36 bedrooms and associated common areas; kitchens, living rooms, stairwells and landings. Additionally the balance of the windows shall be replaced, (the window frames in some locations were replaced in 2018), and the external doors shall be replaced. Alterations shall also be required to the existing electrical and mechanical installations however this shall largely be limited to the provision of USB points, task lighting, renewal of switch and socket face plates and relocation of existing radiators and associated distribution pipework. The works to the external façade shall involve the replacement of all remaining uPVC windows with new powder coated aluminum, double glazed units and the replacement of all external principal access doors with new GRP composite door-sets. The removal of the existing uPVC guttering and downpipes and replacement with new “Ogee” profile seamless powder coated aluminum guttering and downpipes and over-cladding to the existing roof fascia and soffit boards with black uPVC goods shall be executed at Block R6 and Block R7. This activity shall include the introduction of soffit ventilation.
