Tender description

We are looking for a supplier to deliver a new website and extranet for our hospitals trust. We're looking for a specialist team with proven experience of working well with NHS Trusts in this area. Any queries.clarifications in relation to this project must be sent through the ProContract e-tendering portal. We’re keen to hear from suppliers who have a proven track record of working with NHS Trusts to deliver a new website, under a challenging timeframe. We want to reduce costs, improve functionality of the site, improve the infrastructure to enable us to enhance the service we provide, and to generally produce a solution which meets our users needs now and allows us flexibility to further develop in the future. It is our desire to develop a flexible, scalable platform without licensing costs ie OpenSource. The new site must be operational for the public by 1.10.2019. We would like a site that supports: — mobile-first responsiveness, — restricted editing options for editors, — extranet functionality, — Secure, UK-based hosting is essential, — AD (Active Directory) integrations for staff (Extranet), — intelligent and flexible form, and form workflow, — supports eCommerce, — online booking and calendar functionality, — facilitate virtual tours (HTML5 and other formats). Interested suppliers, or groups of suppliers, are requested to submit an initial PowerPoint style presentation (max. 12 slides), covering: 1) Overview: the solution/solution set and/or services on offer; 2) User engagement: how your product could help increase impact, reach and user engagement; 3) Architecture: architecture of the solution/solution set or services on offer, preferably in diagram format; 4) Relationships: indication of whether products/services/solutions are dependent on solutions from other vendors and if so, outline the preferred technical and commercial relationships; 5) Implementation and maintenance resources: typical delivery resource required from within the Trust, and an indication of hardware, network or other infrastructure costs required for optimal implementation; 6) Charges: indicative charges of proposed products/services/solutions; 7) Contact Information: main contact for liaison and enquiries. Presentations must be self-explanatory with diagrams and images supported by narrative text. In addition to the presentation: 1) Case studies: at least one case study/reference site in the UK health service; 2) Supporting material: appropriate sales literature, presentations, access to demo environment, etc. As well as the presentation, please can you also provide us with the names, providers and reference numbers of any current Framework Agreements that your company have been awarded to or have access to via a re-seller arrangement. This will help the Trust make an informed decision regarding the route for any subsequent procurement exercise. Suppliers must submit their responses via the ProContract e-tendering portal by 9:00 a.m. on Monday 11th March. Any responses received after this date shall not be used. Suppliers who submit a response may be invited to a presentation to a group of Trust stakeholders, likely to take place on 19th March AM. Any suppliers who are invited to present should be informed by Wednesday 13th March. Suppliers can be assured that whether or not they participate in this stage (invitation to present/hold face-face discussions) will have no influence on any subsequent formal procurement. The sample of suppliers selected will aim to improve the Trust’s understanding of the pros and cons of different overall approaches.
