Specification To provide feed/bedding supplies to up to nine Police horses requiring full nutritional diets. This will maximise the operational return on the investment of the horse and provide care for the animals as required under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Historically the current supplier has also supplied the Metropolitan Police Mounted Branch and the military. Due to the difficulty lack of storage facilities in Police buildings, there is only space to store two/three weeks’ worth of supplies. This means delivery are needed around every two weeks.
