Tender description

The Council is currently seeking views from the market and service users about the future commissioning approach to targeted interventions to older people in sheltered housing and targeted interventions to older people in the community/working age adults. These services were formally known as supporting people services. We have taken a co-production approach to this work and have worked with stakeholders to produce a commissioning plan that sets out the interventions we want to buy in the future and the outcomes that we want to see achieved. Bristol City Council has adopted a 3 tier model of support for adults who need care and/or support (se BCC Market Position statement for further info: https://www.bristol.gov.uk/social-care-health/market-position-statements) — this commissioning plan forms a part of the Councils approach to supporting adults “When they need it” — Tier 2. The Council has set out its purchasing approach in the commissioning strategy and is seeking views from the market on its approach: More information about the consultation is available here: https://www.bristol.gov.uk/tenders-contracts/supporting-people-funded-services-recommissioning The Council is seeking to negotiate with existing sheltered housing providers, unless alternative provision is identified through this process. The Council intends to undertake call-offs from the community support contract for the Targeted interventions to older people in the community/working age adults.
