Tender description

Tenders are invited for the provision of daily maintenance, servicing and emergency callouts for water features. This tender will be split into 2 lots: — lot A — 2 outdoor paddling pools, — lot B — 4 fountains and 1 water feature. The Council's detailed requirements will be defined in the Specification. The procurement process being used is open, and compliant with the EU Public Procurement Directive 2015 Regulations. This tender is to appoint 1 provider per lot, however, suppliers are invited to bid for 1 or both lots. Each lot will be evaluated and awarded independently. Tenders are invited for the provision of daily maintenance, servicing and emergency callouts for 2 outdoor paddling pools. Warwick District Council operates 2 open air paddling pools located in: St Nicholas Park, Warwick; and Victoria Park, Leamington Spa. The paddling pools are “open” to the general public throughout the week (including bank holidays and weekends) from the 25th May to the 8th September. The paddling pools form a significant aspect of the visitor attraction to the parks and as such must be operated safely, with minimal service disruption. To ensure this, a contractor is required to provide daily maintenance, servicing and emergency call outs to both pools during this “open” period. Jephson Gardens is 1 of 3 “Green Flag” rated parks within Warwick district, and attracts a significant amount of visitors throughout the year. There are 4 fountains located within Jephson Gardens which form an important aspect for the Green Flag rating, and are an important part of the heritage of the site. 2 of the fountains operate throughout the year, with the other 2 fountains (Hitchman and Czech) which operate from Easter Weekend until November. The general scope of the contract is to provide inspections and adequate servicing to ensure that the fountains and water feature operate efficiently and within safety requirements, for the duration of the required operational period.
