Tender description

The Council has published this VEAT notice as it intends to award a contract for the administration of childcare vouchers. Whilst this scheme is closed to new entrants we need a solution for those with ‘grandfather’ rights who can remain in the scheme until they no longer meet the criteria as defined by HMRC. The intention is to award this contract to the incumbent for continuity for employees who already hold childcare voucher online accounts with them and their childcare providers. An existing contract provides for the administration of childcare vouchers. Whilst this scheme is closed to new entrants we need a solution for those with ‘grandfather’ rights who can remain in the scheme until they no longer meet the criteria as defined by HMRC. The intention is to award this contract to the incumbent for continuity for employees who already hold childcare voucher online accounts with them and their childcare providers. A change of overall system at the current time would have a major impact on employees and their childcare providers, and require costs of change for the Council and other potential service providers which the latter would be unlikely to pursue i.e. we believe other providers would be interested now the existing arrangements will rapidly decrease in value.
