5-050 Technical Support for Routes to Market RDP

Tender description

This Work Package is to provide technical advice and support to Highways England for the development of the Technical Advisor Contract document suite and the associated procurement process. The Technical Advisor delivery area has been divided into Tranche 1 and Tranche 2. Tranche 1 will award the assurance work for RIS1 schemes using call off under Highways England's existing Collaborative Delivery Framework (CDF) and Tranche 2 will develop a new framework/contract to award design and assurance services for the schemes in RIS2. Contract documents for Tranche 2 will be based on the NEC 4 model contract suite, the standard approach for Highways England and endorsed by the Cabinet Office, and will need to be developed during 2019. To undertake the work required by this Work Package, suppliers will need to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the NEC contract suite, including the new NEC 4 edition.
