Tender description

As part of its review into potential improvements in the collection and management of recyclates and municipal waste Mid and East Antrim Council has identified the need to develop a Waste Transfer Station (WTS) in the Carrickfergus area of the Borough. In addition, the current Household Recycling Centre (HRC) at Sullatober, Carrickfergus, is too small to cope with the amount of material generated. Following a strategic review and completion of an Economic Appraisal (EA) the Council has decided to construct a WTS and new HRC on land adjacent to the existing depot and operations facilities at Sullatober, see location map in Appendix A.
