Tender description

The PSNI are conducting pre-market engagement with a view to procuring a Firearms Licensing System. The current PSNI Firearms Licencing System (FLS) is a commercial off the shelf product significantly customised to the meet the requirements of the Firearms (Northern Ireland) Order 2004 and the technical requirements of PSNI. Before launching a procurement procedure, PSNI and Construction and Procurement Delivery (CPD) are conducting pre-market engagement with a view to preparing the procurement and to inform economic operators/warm the market to the opportunity of the future procurement requirements. The current PSNI Firearms Licencing System (FLS) is a commercial off the shelf product significantly customised to the meet the requirements of the Firearms (Northern Ireland) Order 2004 and the technical requirements of PSNI. The system is the PSNI repository and reference system for Firearms data within N. Ireland. The system incorporates significant bespoke technical customisations including: — single sign on, — view only “intranet” application available from all police workstations, — multiple interfaces to line of business police applications including: —— person firearms alert, —— PSNI criminal information system, —— firearms alert, —— custody module, —— PSNI criminal information system, —— address alert, —— PSNI police tasking system, —— app interface, —— police mobile phone, — interface to the FEB EDRMS for storage of documents.
