Tender description

Translink wishes to acquire a supplier capable of supplying and delivering steel railway rails and associated rail maintenance products to their Adelaide Permanent Way depot in Belfast. All rails must be 18 288 mm long, and must be manufactured in accordance with Network Rail’s Standard Ref. No. NR-SP-TRK-061 Issue 2 Pearlitic Rails and BS EN 13674-1:2003. The successful economic operator will be required to fulfil all elements associated with the loading, transportation, shipment and unloading at Adelaide Permanent Way Facility, 8 Falcon Road, BT12 6PU Belfast or as required at any pre agreed delivery location on the Northern Ireland Rail Network. The duration of the contract will be for a period of no greater than 8 years from the point of appointment of the successful bidder. The conditions of contract are the NEC3 Supply Short Contract 2013 and attached purchasers specific amendments and additional Z clauses.
