Who Speclialist Work With The Specialist will work with the Enterprise Architecture team and also work closely with IT Service Creation architecture and engineering teams to ensure common understanding, compliance and governance of architectural patterns. What Specialists Work On DVLA requires an Integration Specialist with specific knowledge of identity, identity verification, authentication and authorisation patterns to support the design and delivery of these key elements of transformation. Provide industry best practice experience to support the design and delivery of these core fundamental building blocks, to ensure compliance and governance of the architectural patterns. The Specialist will work with the Enterprise Architecture team but also with Solution Architects and Lead Software Engineers. As DVLA continue to expand its Digital Services, it needs to ensure that security and data privacy are embedded by default for all external and internal users. Where the Work Takes Place DVLA, Longview Road, Clase, Morriston, Swansea SA6 7JL Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements The nature of the work dictates the location. Standard working week/hours to be managed by the Supplier as they see is appropriate The specialist will work to a pipeline of work that has been prioritised by the DVLA. We anticipate this will take up to twelve months to complete, whilst allowing for the specialist knowledge to be shared across the architecture and engineering community. Work Location DVLA, Longview Road, Clase, Morriston, Swansea SA6 7JL Security Clearance BPSS clearance is required, if SC clearance is required through the duration of the contract the DVLA will sponsor. Additional T&Cs We currently see this role as sitting outside of IR35, as the candidates would not hold a fixed office position and will not have direct day to day direction or supervision. Skills & Experience Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of OAuth2 standards Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of knowledge of utilising API Gateways to provide secure access to APIs Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of knowledge of Identity, Identity Verification, Authentication and Authorisation patterns Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of integrating with Third Party Identity Providers Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of Knowledge of Adaptive Authentication and Multi-Factor Implementation Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of working across architecture and delivery to ensure compliance and governance of architectural patterns Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years Evidence of working in a regulated industry Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of communicating complex technical concepts and ensure knowledge transfer to in-house development teams Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of working on projects using open source technology within cloud hosted/virtualised environments; AWS preferred Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of integrating with external systems using REST and SOAP Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of presenting work at user groups and agile ceremonies communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience Evidence and experience over a period of 3 or more years of supporting enablement of in-house development capabilities, engaging with staff and creating an environment of knowledge sharing Nice to Haves Knowledge of EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its impact on data privacy – provide 1 example. No. of Specialists to Evaluate 10 Cultural Fit Criteria Provide 1 example of working as part of an agile software delivery team, embracing collaborative working practices, evolutionary architecture and contributing to a shared team goal Provide 1 example of supporting enablement of in-house subject matter expertise, engaging with staff and creating an environment of knowledge sharing.
