The carers’ support service is a universal service for unpaid carers and former carers in Somerset. A carer is anyone who helps another person, usually a relative or friend, in their day to day life. The aim of the carers’ support service will be to improve the quality of life for carers and former carers living in Somerset and work in partnership with others to ensure equality of access with a coordinated approach to service delivery that is outcome focussed.
