Tender description
Carmarthenshire County Council and its partner local authority, Pembrokeshire local authority, are seeking to set up a framework of providers (Dynamic Purchasing System) for the delivery of qualifying training to staff employed in adult and children’s social care services across the counties of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Utilising a Dynamic Purchasing System for the establishment of such a Framework will permit the provision of services by a wider range of suitable suppliers, ensuring high quality delivery of statutory training to local authority staff. Suppliers selected and included on the framework are expected to deliver a range services, namely facilitate access to and deliver accredited qualifications and accredited training to care staff in order to comply with the National standards for the Social Care Workforce in Wales. The appointed suppliers are expected to be able to deliver on a number of programmes and services, courses and qualifications detailed in the brief. Suppliers selected and included on the framework are expected to deliver a range services, namely facilitate access to and deliver accredited qualifications and accredited training to care staff in order to comply with the National standards for the Social Care Workforce in Wales. The appointed suppliers are expected to be able to deliver on a number of programmes as individual Lots or all of the following services, courses and qualifications: — QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care on Levels 2, 3 and 5 on identified Pathways in adult care/learning disability care/mental health services/enablement, — QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care/Children and Young people on Levels 3 and 5, — Any new QCF Diploma levels in Health and Social Care that form part of the revised National Qualification Framework from Sept. 2019 onwards, — Social Care Induction qualification as per National Induction Framework (SCIF QUALL) and the new All Wales Induction Framework from point of national introduction onwards, — Modular course provision to suit service needs, e.g. specific to Dementia or Learning Disability services at levels 3, 4 and 5 learning credits, — Delivery of accredited assessor training (TAQA) to local authority staff and managers as outlined in the National Qualification Framework, — Provision of quality assurance for learners that authorities may wish to register for a qualification with an awarding body.
