Tender description

Clinical waste services Prior Information Notice (PIN) York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute hospital and specialist healthcare services for approximately 800 000 people living in and around York, North Yorkshire, North East Yorkshire and Ryedale — an area covering 3 400 square miles. We manage eight hospital sites and have a workforce of around 9 000 staff working across our hospitals and in the community. The Trust requires a Contractor who will be responsible for the compliant collection, transfer, treatment and disposal of the Trust’s healthcare wastes from its waste storage compounds in line with current legislation. The contract will comprise of a comprehensive 770 litre UN Approved clinical waste bin exchange service across the Trust various sites to manage its healthcare wastes safely, efficiently and in a timely manner. A detailed Trust site collection schedule will be provided within the tender documents.
