Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 2 months with possible extension Latest start date Friday 1 February 2019 Maximum Day Rate Max day rate - £400 Who Speclialist Work With The successful candidate will be working with Programme/Implementation Teams from East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) and Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust (MTW). Sourcing specialist IT and Clinical skills from Kings College Hospital (KCH). What Specialists Work On Establish and facilitate “buddy” arrangements in relation to the implementation of Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager™ (SCM) system (electronic health record) between Kings College Hospital (KCH) and East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) and Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust (MTW). - o Governance and leadership required to support implementation o Pitfalls and lessons learnt associated with organisational change o Building the formulary in SCM (dm+d compliance) o Configuration of SCM for e-prescribing and medicines administration o Go-live planning This role will be to liaise between the 3 Trusts, mindful of the differences in project plans for EKHUFT and MTW Skills & Experience • Well-developed interpersonal skills • Experience of setting up similar arrangements/programmes between a number of organisations • Ability to scope work quickly and effectively utilising the resources available • Proven ability to think and act fast, and deliver pragmatic and effective solutions • Evidence of an excellent customer services approach to service delivery • Able to produce accurate and timely information reports. • Ability to exercise and manage own work effectively, independently and pragmatically to achieve and prioritise objectives, deadlines and solutions despite obstacles, working within the demands of the user environment • Ability to take a flexible and versatile approach to problem solving Nice to Haves • Facilitating and implementing improvements through the delivery of IT systems. • Knowledge of implementation of electronic health records including e-prescribing and medicines administration • Knowledge of or experience within the Kent & Medway NHS sector Work Location You will be working all over Kent, primarily in Canterbury and Maidstone as well as in south London . Working Arrangments Based at home with travel required to EKHFT, MTW and KCH sites. Preferred Option 2-3 days a week but will consider Mon-Fri No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria • Work as a team with our organisation and other suppliers • Be transparent and collaborative when making decisions • Take responsibility for their work • Challenge the status quo Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 50% Cultural fit 20% Price 30% Questions from Suppliers 1. Can you please confirm the IR35 status of this position. It is considered outside IR35 2. Also are you only expecting someone to work a maximum of 3 days per week? 2 to 3 days a week would be preferable, but we will consider someone for 5 days a week. 3. Can the authority confirm if an incumbent is currently in this role and if they will be invited to apply via DOS No incumbent in place 4. Is the specialist required to have hands on build & configuration experience of SCM or just experience of managing/coordinating the implementation of SCM or similar system? Just experience of managing/coordinating SCM or similar would be advantageous 5. Are travel expenses covered for travel between each of the 3 sites? Travel expenses would be covered from base in Folkestone to these sites. 6. Given the mobile nature of the assignment and the requirement for extensive travel – will you pay travelling expenses (e.g. mileage) and if so at what rates? First question answered previously. Second question - standard NHS mileage rates.
