National Grid is seeking to explore what options are currently available in the marketplace to replace it’s aerial photography dataset. Using high resolution imagery, today's engineers, technicians and asset protection professionals can achieve a greater understanding of pipelines and sites located around the UK and their relationships with man-made and geographical surroundings. High resolution imagery supports: — communication between stakeholders throughout design and construction, — visualization of land use and land cover features, — competitive bidding processes, — streamlining of information and workflows (including communication with 3rd parties) site/building information modeling. To express your interest in receiving the RFI document, please email Cora.Russell@nationalgrid.com by 12:00 Friday 22nd February. The RFI document will be released through an on-line e-sourcing portal. If you don't already have an account to access our e-sourcing portal one will be created for you. Instructions regarding how to access the RFI will be issued once you have expressed your initial interest in receiving the RFI. All responses to the RFI document must be received through the e-sourcing portal before the closing date of 12:00 Friday 1.3.2019.
