Tender description

Hertfordshire County Council (the “Council”) is currently out to procurement for the provision of superfast broadband in Hertfordshire. Further information in regards to this opportunity can be found in II.2.4) and V1.3) below. Organisations wishing to take part in this project are invited to "express interest" which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system. Please see VI.3) below for further information and instructions. Any questions relating to this procurement must be made via the correspondence area in the e-Tendering system, in accordance with the procurement documents and can be addressed to the main contact as shown in the details above. The estimated total value of the Contract is stated in II.1.5) of this notice and is for all lots and the full contract period. The duration of the contract is stated in II.2.7) of this notice and is for the total minimum core term for both build and services. For the avoidance of doubt, the contract will remain in force for between 9 and 11 years, comprising a build period of an initial core term of 2 years, with the option to extend the build period for period(s) up to a maximum further 2 years, at the Council’s sole discretion. This will then be followed by a services (wholesale access) period of 7 years. Please note that the contract requirements will be subject to available financial resources, supplier performance and flexibility to meet changing demands. This procurement is split into 3 lots, as detailed. Each lot will be evaluated and awarded separately and tenderers must provide tenders on a standalone lot basis only. However, in the interests of efficiency, if a tenderer is awarded a contract for more than 1 lot, the Council reserves the right to combine those applicable lots into 1 contract. Organisations should be aware that due to the nature of the services provided, any Contract formed as a result of this procurement process shall be executed as a deed. Organisations should seek independent legal advice on the implications of this prior to submitting their tender, where appropriate. Please note that the full procurement documentation for this procurement has been provided upfront. The information contained in the procurement documentation is confidential. Therefore by accessing this tender via Supply Hertfordshire and then the View Details button and accessing the documentation for this procurement, bidders agree to undertake to treat the information as confidential and commercially sensitive at all times and take all reasonable steps to prevent any inadvertent disclosure to any third party.
