Tender description

Irish Water is seeking to engage Contractors experienced in undertaking major repairs to service reservoirs (potable water) to advance the Service Reservoir Major Repairs Programme 2019–2021. It is anticipated that there will be an requirement to repair circa 30 sites within the 3-year contract period, these being divided into 2 lots: — lot 1 — North/West (Connaught/Ulster) and East/Midlands, — lot 2 — South. (See map in Background Information). The work will require PSDP and PSCS services. The number of reservoir sites listed in lots 1 and 2 is an indicative list, Irish Water may decide to add or remove sites. For each lot, it is envisaged that 1 contractor will be appointed, should 1 qualify. Tenderers can be awarded a maximum of 1 lot only. Further details of the scope of this Contract are contained in the Scope. Works shall include dewatering, cleaning, major internal structural repair works as instructed by Irish Water and disinfection of the reservoir structures. Irish Water may require the successful Contractor to undertake the design and construction of enabling works to facilitate the isolation of the reservoir along with installation of a safe access systems for the water towers and ground reservoirs.
