The Authority reserves the right to add associated items to the contract during its lifetime. Babcock DSG Limited, acting as agent for the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to award a single source contract for a period of 36 months to BAE Systems, Global Combat Systems Ltd for the repair and/or refurbishment of A Vehicle Platform Line Replacement Units (LRU’s), using the Negotiated Procedure Without Prior Publication pursuant to Article 28(1) (e) of Directive 2009/81/EC [Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011] for technical and safety reasons. This is a critical requirement for the MOD’s A Vehicle Platforms with integration risk arising from all repaired, remanufactured and/or refurbished components and sub-assemblies being integrated into the A Vehicle Platforms in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer standards.
