Invitation to Tender for Design Team Consultancy Services for the National Energy Efficiency Upgrade Pilot Programme for Schools 2019

Tender description

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and Department of Education & Skills (DoES) are embarking on a School Energy Efficiency Upgrade Pilot Programme with 17 schools nationally invited to participate. These selected schools will have projects implemented to upgrade the school’s energy efficiency, while reducing energy costs based on a detailed Energy Audit recently completed. The shared objectives of the programme are to implement a range of energy efficiency measures in a number of typical schools and to test a variety of approaches with a view to developing a scalable model of energy efficiency retrofits in the school sector to be rolled out into the future. Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board (LCETB) is assisting and supporting the Department and SEAI in the roll-out and implementation of this pilot programme. The selected projects will be 100% funded under the pilot programme. The projects will be used to develop and demonstrate best practice models in energy efficiency upgrades in a range of typical school buildings. This contract notice is for the appointment of Design Team Led Consultancy Services (DT Led by Architect or M&E Services Engineer), where the Lead Consultant shall also buy in any additional services for other disciplines as required. There are 5 LOTs representing schools bundled in clusters based on geographic location. An Applicant may tender for more than one LOT. Refer to tender documents for further details.
