The London Boroughs of Richmond upon Thames and Wandsworth are seeking to commission and procure a substance misuse service covering structured and unstructured treatment options that cover both borough populations. The Authorities will seek the most competent providers, through a single tendering exercise encompassing all aspects of required interventions. The boroughs represent different demographic/physical challenges with common themes of need: — better co-working with Mental Health and local hospitals, — better integration with primary care; — improved identification, advice and support before and after structured treatment or to divert from structured treatment; — an evidenced suite of interventions and recovery support and sustainable integration to local communities. The fundamental principle is service functionality “Any door is the Right door”. The Authorities are seeking a networked model of nodes and links that support individuals from all backgrounds, to develop the care they need in a format that promotes and protects their commitment to individual recovery.
