Tender description

At the time of publication, NEST has 7 500 000 members, 4 500 000 000 GBP in AUM and approximately 700 000 participating employers. NEST’s cash inflows in 2019 are expected to be 4-5 000 000 000 GBP and expected to grow by approximately 5 000 000 000 GBP per year thereafter. The current fund selection for NEST members comprises the NEST Retirement Date Funds (NRDFs), 47 single year target date funds which act as the default strategy, and 5 fund choices. Currently over 98 % of all the assets under management are in the NRDFs. Each NEST fund operates as a fund of funds investing in the third party “building block” funds. The NEST Trustee Members determine the asset allocation of the funds while external fund managers invest in a variety of specific asset classes. There are currently 20 building building block funds covering global equities to commodities for use in the NRDFs and other fund choices. NEST is looking to add an actively managed Global Investment Grade Fund to the range of building blocks. This activity falls within The Public Contracts Regulations 2015, “Specific exclusion for service contracts” Regulation 10(e)(i) and therefore is exempt and a Contract Notice will not be issued.
