Summary of the work Review and prioritisation of digital work programmes to ensure synergy with UHB digital SoP and the National digital strategy. Structured and phased Digital Transformation plan aligned to our “Turning the Curve” transformation priorities. Methodology to capture benefits both systems and financial efficiencies. Specialist role Product manager Expected Contract Length From award for a six month period with an option to extend for a further three months Latest start date Friday 1 March 2019 Who Speclialist Work With Executive Team, Deputy Chief Executive and Head of IM&T What Specialists Work On To lead the UHB's Transformation Programme as the Digital Transformation Lead including the robust utilisation of Programme and Project Management methodology to secure delivery. The Lead will be required to work with the Executive teams to develop digital work progammes, to refocus delivery of key organisational objectives and ensure synergy with UHB digital SoP and the National Digital Strategy. These programmes must be aligned to our transformation priorities, which include reducing hospital outpatient appointments by 30% and reducing variation to deliver cash releasing savings. The Lead must deliver the change programme working with multiple stakeholders. Skills & Experience • Adding “value” to IT architecture in a complex organisation • Managing large scale shared service external supplier(s) • Financial management and contracting in an NHS environment • Political sensitivity/ influencing to effect change both internally and externally • Proven experience of benefits realisation delivery • Track record of delivering digital change solutions in large complex organisations • Project and program management experience Work Location Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board, University Hospital of Wales Heath Park, Cardiff CF14 4XW Working Arrangments The individual appointed will be expected to be outcome focussed and self-managing. Hours will be varied according to the need of the project, ensuring that outputs are delivered on time. Hours will be expected to be worked over 5 days a week.
