Tender description
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) is holding a market engagement event to meet with suppliers to discuss how best to reshape and re-procure its Day Opportunities services for adults with Serious and enduring Mental Illness (SMI). The purpose of the market engagement event on 27.02.2019 is to meet with suppliers to discuss how best to develop the future model for day opportunities that will support the Council in achieving its strategic aims in relation to adults with SMI, including: how services can contribute to helping the Council meet its duties under the Care Act 2014, especially with respect to prevention and increasing choice, control and wellbeing. It is the aim of the Council that the new model will complement its offer to residents to change from a deficit approach based on assessment of need for a service to one that is strength based building upon people’s assets and the support networks they have in their local communities and how best to establish the vibrant market place necessary to meet those aims. The Council is particularly interested in exploring suppliers’ views about a number of potential model elements including: • Moving from a model that primarily funds services to one that funds people through Personal Budgets and Direct Payments with a focus on inclusive meaningful activities based in the community • Co-production and user led services • Better partnership working • Identifying and improving outcomes to reduce upstream demand The engagement event will take place in The Small Hall, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London, W8 7NX on Wednesday 27/02/2019 from 1.00pm to 3.30 pm. Should you wish to participate in the event, please register your interest on the e-tendering portal www.capitalesourcing.com or email Tonya Mascoll at tonya.mascoll@RBKC.gov.uk on or before Friday 22.02.2019. Please note that only 2 representatives per organisation can attend.
