The myeloma and immunodeficiency protein measurement service at the Immunology Department, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Molecular Pathology (LabMed) St James’s Hospital has provided an in-house and national service since the 1980s. Currently the service offers the following assays for diagnostics and predictive testing: — Free Kappa (FKC) and Free Lambda (FLC) measurement test numbers for 2018 — 8,056 FKC and 8,056 FLC, — IgG subclass (IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4) measurement test numbers for 2018 — IgG1 = 505, IgG2 = 505, IgG3 = 505, IgG4 = 522, — C1 inactivator measurement test numbers for 2018 — C1 Inhibitor = 251.
