Tender description

The Hospital intend to invoke Article 32 for derogation from tendering for the purchase of a robotic surgery platform including the supply, installation, maintenance and ongoing training. It is envisioned that any such system would be utilised in the context of minimally-invasive robotic-assisted procedures across a range of surgical specialities, to be used in for urology surgery but not limited to, gynaecology, colorectal, ENT, general and thoracic surgeries. Currently there is only one supplier of this type of robotic platform. Competition is absent for technical reasons which is a case provided for in Section (2) (ii) of Article 32 of Directive 2014/24/EU.
