Tender description

In line with the HSE guidance given in HSG 227 (‘a comprehensive guide to managing asbestos in premises’) and in compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Places for People require asbestos surveying and analytical services to undertake the following, but not limited to management, refurbishment and demolition or a combination surveys of void properties, programmed, responsive or emergency works. There is also an annual requirement for a number of ad-hoc surveys to accommodate reactive works and maintenance. In addition to the ongoing survey programmes there is a separate project to survey or reinspect non-domestic blocks. The contract is for an initial 3-year period from 1.11.2019-31.10.2022. There is the option to extend the contract for 2 further 12 month periods. The opportunity is divided in to 2 geographical (North/South) lots. Places for People intend to appoint one contractor to each lot. The stock managed by Places for People Property Services is stock owned by Places for People Homes, Places for People Living+ and Derwent Living. Spend in this lot is approximately 250 000 GBP per annum. The contract is for an initial 3-year period from 1.11.2019-31.10.2022.
