CMAL are looking for a contractor to carry out testing, inspection, monitoring and necessary maintenance works on the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment (such as pumps, cylinders, diesel engines, wire ropes etc) of their Linkspans to comply with all relevant statutory, regulatory, operational or safety requirements. CMAL are looking for a contractor to carry out testing, inspection, monitoring and necessary maintenance works on the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment (such as pumps, cylinders, diesel engines, wire ropes, etc) of their Linkspans to comply with all relevant statutory, regulatory, operational or safety requirements. The linkspans are located in various ports servings routes to the islands and west coast of Scotland. The contractor is to ensure inspections and testing are independent and shall provide any relevant certificates and reports once completed. The maintenance works shall include both scheduled maintenance works and any reactive maintenance works within a 24 hours call out basis. The contractor shall liaise with CMAL, the ferry operator and other relevant parties prior to any inspection and maintenance works. They shall also monitor records of regular testing and maintenance works carried out by the ferry operator for the purposes of identifying where maintenance works may be required. All records, reports and certificates shall be stored in a cyber secure online systems in accordance with the CMAL information management system.
