Tender description

Solihull council is procuring for the local delivery of a housing support for vulnerable adults service which includes: (a) drug and alcohol floating support; and (b) housing advice and outreach for adults aged 25+. The provider of the housing support for vulnerable adults contract will deliver the following services: I. Floating support service for drug and alcohol users – delivery of support to adult drug and alcohol users to enable them to access and sustain suitable accommodation. This includes the provision of a flexible, bespoke and outcome focused advice and support service to enable individuals to access and maintain suitable accommodation, promotes healthier lifestyle choices and access wider support services. As part of the service the provider will work in partnership with all other relevant services; II. Housing advice and outreach service for adults aged 25+ – delivery of a specialist housing advice and assistance service to adults aged 25+ who are rough sleeping, homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in line with homelessness legislation. This includes the provision of flexible, bespoke and outcome focussed advice and outreach services to support individuals to access and maintain suitable accommodation, promote healthier lifestyles choices and, working with relevant statutory and voluntary partners, address wider support needs. The service addresses the causes and consequences of homelessness and aims to both prevent rough sleeping and ensure that those who are sleeping rough are supported off the streets. The service also positively manages the transition of these individuals into accommodation and supports the delivery of the Solihull Housing First service through. It is the intention of the Council to take an inclusive approach that will include the diverse range of needs that individuals present with across both of these services. This will require flexible and targeted support, often delivered on an outreach/community basis.
