Flat Roofing and Associated Works

Tender description

Thanet District Council wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the replacement of flat roof coverings and associated works including scaffolding, asbestos surveys and removal and external repairs to its social housing stock within the geographical area covered by Thanet District Council. The work is to be carried out on an annual planned basis to domestic properties, sheltered schemes and blocks of flats as identified by East Kent Housing (EKH) - an arms-length management organisation (ALMO) which has been setup and is owned by Thanet District Council, Canterbury City Council, Dover District Council and Folkestone and Hythe District Council to manage their respective council social housing services. Contracting arrangements will be direct with the individual council with the contract being entered into between the successful supplier and the council for subsequent use by EKH acting on behalf of the council within their respective area of operation.
