Peabody Group is seeking to appoint a single provider to act as a development partner to collaborate with this opportunity to redevelop a whole city block in Zone 1. A former paper factory, this 2.3-acre brownfield site is located in Newington Triangle, between Borough tube station and Elephant and Castle. Our objectives are as set out within the tender documentation. In recent years the wider area has attracted over 3 000 000 000 GBP of development investment. Peabody is seeking a development partner to collaborate with this opportunity to redevelop a whole city block in Zone 1. Our objectives are as follows: 1) Enable and ensure the delivery of the comprehensive redevelopment of the Site; 2) Achieve a planning consent and start on site and practical completion of the of the affordable elements in the shortest feasible time period; 3) Maximise residential development appropriate for the site so as to achieve the best return to Peabody and (at least) the min affordable housing as set out within the tender documents; 4) Deliver a minimum of 35 % affordable housing including at minimum of 200 affordable homes (whichever is the greater) to be split 70 % affordable rented homes and 30 % shared ownership.
