Tender description

The delivery of Bradford Forster Square Station redevelopment including: Stage 1: site investigations and testing, evolution of the existing design to an acceptable and constructible conclusion, gaining all necessary permits, approvals and consents and the contractor’s interim proposals and final proposal for Stage 2; in Stage 2: the construction and assurance of the design, testing and commissioning and final handover to the Council. The delivery of the Bradford Forster Square Station redevelopment. The specific activities that are required by the contractor throughout Stage 1 include but are not limited to: — principal designer and principal contractor duties, — assembly of all necessary pre-construction information, — identification, coordination and accommodation of the interests of impacted authorities and utilities providers, — design and design management, — design assurance, checking and certification, — design submissions and procedures, — Stage 2 construction methodology planning and sequencing, — Stage 2 temporary works planning and sequencing, — concept value engineering, — project cost establishment and maintenance, — identification and coordination of all necessary land and premises acquisition, — obtaining all necessary permissions, permits, licences and consents from others, — pre-determination of potential and significant Subcontractors required for Stage 2, — creation of proposed Subcontractor conditions of contract, — creation of the quality management policy statement and the contract delivery plan, — establishment of project/progress meetings, — establishment of document control procedures, — reporting and communications, — provision of any necessary site inspections, surveys and investigations, — surveying and setting out, — provision of the contractor’s interim proposals and final proposal for Stage 2. The specific activities that are required by the contractor throughout Stage 2 include but are not limited to: — continuation of any indispensable as well as value adding Stage 1 activities, — construction of the configured solution in accordance with the requirements given in the notice to proceed to Stage 2, — provision of updates to existing and proposed asset owners on any operational changes, — provision of all necessary handover information to the employer (some of which to be passed to others as necessary), — making good and final cleaning of the site following completion, — demobilisation and removal from site any remaining equipment and unused materials.
