Tender description

This prior information notice is informing the market of NHS Wales Shared Services Partnerships intentions to undertake a tender for the provision of Wigs. Please note that this is not a notification of a tender being published; it is predicted that a tender for Wigs will be published in March 2020. NHS Wales seeks to establish a non-ranked multi supplier framework for a wig service to include supply, fitting, styling and cutting of wigs to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Hywel Dda University Health Board, Powys Teaching Health Board and Swansea Bay University Health Board cancer and dermatology patients. The tender will be divided into lots which are defined by the location of the suppliers premises. A limit will be set for the number of suppliers awarded to each lot. The contract will be let for a period of 36 months with the option to extend for a further 12-month period. The supplier must provide a wig service to include supply, fitting, styling and cutting of Wigs. The supplier must be able to provide consultations and fitting appointments in a premises suitable for patients to attend appointments that provides a degree of privacy. The premises must be located within the boundaries of Powys Teaching Health Board. The premises can include concession at a local salon or other suitable premises which meets the contract criteria. The supplier must provide a wig service to include supply, fitting, styling and cutting of Wigs. The supplier must be able to provide consultations and fitting appointments in a premises suitable for patients to attend appointments that provides a degree of privacy. The premises must be located within the boundaries of Hywel Dda University Health Board. The premises can include concession at a local salon or other suitable premises which meets the contract criteria. The supplier must be able to provide consultations and fitting appointments in a premises suitable for patients to attend appointments that provides a degree of privacy. The premises must be located within the boundaries of any of the following Health Boards: Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board or Swansea Bay University Health Board. The premises can include concession at a local salon or other suitable premises which meets the contract criteria.
