The haulage of BIM mobile Coastal Unit(s) from a stored location (collection point) to a specified location on the coast (delivery point).

Tender description

This public procurement competition will be divided into two (2) lots as described below. Tenderers may tender for lot 1, lot 2 or lots 1 and 2. If each lot is awarded separately then there will be an individual contract for each lot. The BIM mobile Coastal Training haulage services contractor(s) shall assist BIM in transporting and locating BIM’s mobile Coastal Training Unit(s) at a fisheries location agreed with the BIM “Instructor in Charge (‘IIC’). The units require to be moved on site within forty-eight (48) hours’ notice. The driver will be required to assist in setting up the unit which includes assistance with a POD extension and ensuring that all safety ladders, access and egress are secure. The schedule of the BIM mobile Coastal Training Unit(s) is available on the BIM Portal at http://training.bim.ie and adequate notice (generally one week) will be given to the contractor in advance of a scheduled move. The BIM mobile Coastal Training Units visit thirty (30) locations per annum. • Lot 1 – BIM Coastal Training Unit operating on the West Coast covering piers and fisheries locations from Downings, Co. Donegal to Dingle, Co. Kerry. • Lot 2 – BIM Coastal Training Unit covering piers and fisheries locations from Clogherhead, Co. Louth to Union Hall, Co. Cork
