Tender description

Leicester City Council (LCC) have secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)and LCC Air Quality action plan to install an additional 20 (plus) public electric vehicle charging points at various locations throughout the city of Leicester. This is a strategic move to encourage citizens, and visitors to Leicester, to move away from conventional methods of transport and move towards more environmentally friendly modes of transportation. In addition, we have secured separate funding from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) for 28 additional EVC points for our taxi infrastructure at various points throughout the City of Leicester. This is aimed to assist the Council’s vision of making the city compliant with all EU air quality targets by 2020.
