Tender description

The Contractor shall carry out a destructive programme of various bolt grades and sizes, loaded in double shear, single shear and tension. The purpose of the testing is to measure force and displacement throughout the tests that can be used to validate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models. From the validated FEA models INS can infer failure criteria of the bolts and bars which can be used as acceptance criteria during development of nuclear transport packages.
