Tender description
The DRP requires an ETCS online key management system OKMS and associated equipment, tools, processes and procedures, that will deliver a unified, resilient and cost-effective key management solution for all digital railway infrastructure within the UK. The OKMS will provide the centralised key administration for all ETCS entities operating on the UK railway, using both online and offline distribution. The GRIP 3 output breaks OKMS into 3 elements: — key management centre (KMC), — public key infrastructure (PKI), — online key remote access (OK-RA). In addition, the scope includes: — managing interfaces with Network Rail Telecoms (NRT), including: —— network design; —— security (including application of SAF). — construction works associated with OKMS, — migration and integration of legacy ETCS systems, — ongoing support. The contractor will need to have a mixture of experience, including: — PKI, — ETCS key management and specifications, — system integration in a railway environment.
