Tender description

Swansea Council has published this prior information notice (PIN) as part of a market engagement exercise to try and identify potential interested organisations that have the expertise in delivering services for families affected by disability, particularly around increasing accessibility to activities and leisure opportunities. Engagement that have expertise and experience in delivering support to families affected by disability, particularly around increasing accessibility to activities and leisure opportunities. Swansea Council are open to consider different innovative models of enabling children and young people affected by disability access to more activities and leisure opportunities. Both delivered by the service and via making mainstream services more accessible. This would increase resilience of children, young people and their families, increase participation and improve outcomes for all. There are 3 elements to this contract: — increasing accessibility to mainstream provision for children and young people affected by disability, — increasing provision of out of school hours (evenings and weekends) activities for children and young people affected by disability, — delivery of holiday provision and summer play scheme for children and young people affected by disability. Intended outcomes of the contract are: 1) Increased participation of disabled children and young people 2) Improved family resilience; 3) Improved family well-being; 4) Increased numbers of families being supported to help prevent escalation of need; 5) Increased numbers of activities and leisure opportunities; 6) Improved accessibility for activities and leisure opportunities. To this end, interested parties are invited to initially submit an expression of interest to the Commissioning Team at Swansea Council: mark.gosney@swansea.gov.uk no later than the 10.1.2020 with the following information. 1) Name of your organisation and brief description of its background and experience; 2) Would you be interested in tendering for the service described above? If yes, please explain full detail of what you are able to provide; 3) Do you have the current capacity to deliver the required objectives and availability of resources? 4) Any other comments or suggestions.
